*** RESCUE OR NEW HOME NEEDED FOR NELLY – PLEASE CALL 0151 556 1220 TO SPEAK WITH STAFF OR MAKE AN APPOINTMENT ***

BREED/AGE/COLOUR: British Bulldog, 2 years +/- and blue tri.

TYPE OF HOME: We’re looking for a special home for Nelly. She came to us unbelievably terrified and was fearful of staff in the first couple of days, leading her to react when approached/attempted to be handled. After this though, and with the help of tasty chicken, Nelly came round quite quickly to all the staff and she shown how loving and affectionate she really was. Nelly has since met lots of new volunteers and has come round very quickly, they have had treats initially but they’ve felt more of a added bonus than a necessity with making friends with her. We’ve found Nelly’s biggest issue is on walks as she will occasionally react to people passing, though this is improving with quick & firm corrections this will need to be continued in her new home. Nelly would benefit from a quiet home with no/minimal visitors that has had experience preferably with reactivity or has the time & patience to help her with this. It was reported that during her brief time in a  home Nelly shown signs of separation anxiety so will need committed and patient owners who can continue further training with this to reassure her and make her feel settled. Nelly has restarted her vaccinations, is microchipped and will be spayed at a later date as she came to us in season.
